I’ve been a designer since 2017 and I truly enjoy working on video games. I started out as a game designer, but naturally gravitated toward level design, where I feel most comfortable and where I can fully realize my potential.
Fun fact: I created my very first level when I was 10 years old and stumbled upon the World Editor in Warcraft 3. Back then, I didn't even realize that being a designer could ever become a viable career path in Poland, but here I am over 20 years later 😃

- Overseeing the creation process of the new exclusive levels for the VR version of the game.
- Redesigning levels from the original UE3 Bulletstorm and creating them in UE4 to make them fit for the VR remake of the game.

- Game design: coming up with game mechanics and new characters, creating game economy (lots of spreadsheets and simulations!), doing all the game balance.

- Since I was the only designer, I had to take care of all the design-related tasks.
- I did all the level design in the game, from concept phase all the way to final fully scripted product.
- I also came up with most of the game mechanics and character skills.
- On top of that I wrote the game's story, dialogues and did all the game balancing.
- Minor graphical assets, like achievement icons and promotial screenshots were also my responsibility.
Skills
Level design
From initial concept to final polish, I handle the entire level creation process. My ideas begin with written descriptions supported by rough 2D sketches.
These concepts are then developed into blockouts, which go through multiple stages of iteration.
Above all, my goal is to make each level as fun and engaging as possible.
Unreal Engine and Unity
Unreal Engine and Unity feel like a second home to me. I love the freedom that visual scripting gives to a designer and how much can it achieve without involving a programmer (I'm looking at you, Unreal!).
Team management
During my time working on Uragun, I had the pleasure of leading a level design team. I feel comfortable with production-related and management tasks and being able to mentor junior designers was a fullfilling experience.
