Turn-based tactics in a fantasy setting - my first commercial project
Exorder was the very first commercial game I worked on. I was hired by Solid9 Studio to bring to life a project they had kept on the backburner for a few years.
Being the only designer in the studio (the other two team members being programmers - the founders of Solid9) was an exciting responsibility that threw me into the deep end from the very beginning.
My responsibilities included: designing the structure of the game, designing playable characters, designing and scripting all the missions and challenges, writing the story and dialogues, designing and decorating all the levels, and even working on minor graphical assets (e.g. achievement icons).
This experience taught me a lot about game development and shaped me into a versatile designer.
Fun fact: we had a working Android port of the game that due to budget constraints never got finished.
